Riley Harrison has been making wines in South Australia for a few years now, mostly under the banner of much-loved label Samuel's Gorge. With a background in viticulture but a growing love for winemaking, he's one to keep your eyes on. This is bottled under his own label where he gets to tinker with small batches of fruit from good growers around the state, with this fruit coming from Adelaide Hills from Michael Downer's Oakbank vineyard.
'Spicy and floral, this Syrah leaps from the glass. Loads of plush dark berries, olive tapenade and sweet bun spice are coiled around an arrow of powdery, fine boned tannins. Decadent but refreshing, this little thing is like eating pepperoni pizza in a freshly run bath.' - note from the winemaker, Riley
