Region: Emilia-Romagna, ITA
Mirco Mariotti’s vineyards are located in the east of Emilia-Romagna in Northern Italy. His pet nat rose is made from Fortana, a high acid and savoury variety that typically shows some vermouth-like spice and amaro-like bitterness. This is bright and fruit-forward with a rustic herbal lift and a saline-tinged fizz.
Named after the Italian card game 'Sette e Mezzo' which translates to seven-and-a-half, it's similar to blackjack and traditionally played around Christmas. A few of bottles, a sunny afternoon and some salty snacks—do as the Emilia-Romagnas do.
