Region: Ardeche, FRA
Throw a stone as hard as you can from a vineyard in the west of the Northern Rhône and it will likely land in the Ardeche. It is fast becoming a haven of excitement for cork dorks like us. This wine has us wanting for more organically farmed Syrah from this area.
Feather light in the mouth, it is both intensely floral and perfumed as well as being savoury and angular. It is crying out for hand-cut saucisson and half a baguette. A tiny addition of sulfur at bottling is the only addition it sees.
