Region: Barossa Valley, SA
Variety: Cinsault, Grenache & Mourvedre
Steve Crawford started his Barossa label under the pseudonym of Frederick Stevenson whilst working at a larger winery. Now, flying solo, Steve's minimalist, vibrant vinos are garnering plenty of attention for the lighter shade of the region that they portray.
Direct pressed Grenache & Mourvedre and the Cinsault is left on skins for 12-24 hours. Turkish delight, vanilla, lychee and spice from the Cinsault, Rasberry, red apple skin and strawberry from the Grenache. The first vintage with Mouverdre brings a peach ice tea feeling with a lick of mulberry. Touch of amaro like spice and glazed citrus peel to finish off. CIAO!
