Elisabetta Foradori is an incredibly important and needed voice on terroir and heritage. She works sensitively with native varieties to Trentino, guiding them as they need, not as she wills. In her words:
‘We do not intervene in the winery; nothing is added, but we guide the wine while paying attention to its needs. Thus, the wine keeps an expressive spontaneity and bears the personality of its intense and live raw material. In this way, we seem to bring into the wine glass the fragrance of the flowers from the mountain pastures, the minerality of the surrounding cliffs, the transparency of the mountain skies, the character of the people that live in these alpine valleys."
"The shiny brother has had a vintage to his taste. Sgarzon is benefitting from this year, showing open and strong. Intricate and crystal-clear nose, accompanied by deep length: one of the early winners of this vintage. The wine has developed the best of both extremes, distilling the August freshness and the September density into a balanced dance. His extrovert and fluid personality shows from the beginning to the end." — note from Elisabetta
