Maxime is from a long line of vignerons and wine merchants. In 2016 he started to produce his own wine from vineyards inherited from his family. He had a different mindset and wanted to create wines with minimal winemaking artefact to embrace Volnay’s delicate, fine and perfumed wines. This is gained from minimal intervention yet the wines drink ever so classical, just more vibrant and expressive than many. 

From Volnay fruit. Delicate and pretty violets lift from ripe raspberry and cherry nose. There is an underlying amaro cherry and plum. Wonderfully tense and mineral. The palate, is again beautifully mineral with delicate ripe tannins wrapped in sumptuous fruit.
