Alex Foillard, son of the famed Jean Foillard. From the north-facing lieu-dit Chavannes, with soils of granite and schist and a thin layer of sandy soils over the top. This area provides for wines with distinct minerality and finesse. 

The 2020 wines from Alex were a revelation - we tasted them outside on their porch this May. Alex basically handles the vinification for his and his father Jean's wines, though Jean and his brother Louis are always around, as is his mother, Agnes; this is a definitely a family affair. I feel that, five years on from his first vintage his wines are qualitatively on par with Jean's and can be purchased with the same confidence.
