Place: Rhône Valley, France
Variety: Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Viognier, Marsanne, Bourboulenc, Clairette
Stephane Ogier is a legend of the Northern Rhone Valley. This is a classic example of a classic blend being expressed from a classic region.
Ample weight and texture, not in any way overtly rich but there is great depth. A crisp green apple edge keeps it all very fresh. It's just so much fun to drink. Truly a food wine, but a good hunk of brie and fresh baguette would go a long way.
