Region: Rüst - Burgenland, AUT
Variety: Blaufränkisch, St. Laurent
The vineyards around the town of Rüst are south-facing and the rolling landscape forms an amphitheatre around nearby Lake Neusiedl. This condition is combined with the sandy soils mixed with clay and the warm, sunny growing seasons to provide excellent conditions to make firm, full-bodied wines. The combination of bold, spicy Blaufränkisch grape variety and the smokey, earthy, St. Laurent grape variety with its silk-textured tannins, makes a vibrant, full-bodied wine to enjoy any day of the week.
